Nintendo Co., Ltd. (Satoru Iwata, Director and President) will launch a new addition to the Nintendo 3DS family, the Nintendo 3DS LL, at the Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price of 18,900 yen (tax inclusive) on July 28.
The Nintendo 3DS LL will be available in RED×BLACK, SILVER×BLACK and WHITE.
Nintendo estimates that domestic sales of the Nintendo 3DS have reached approximately 6.3 million units since its launch on February 26, 2011, and it has a wide range of software. The Nintendo 3DS LL features screens that are 90 percent larger than those of the original Nintendo 3DS, with an upper screen that can be viewed in 3D that measures 4.88 inches (diagonal) and a lower touch screen that is 4.18 inches (diagonal), providing users with a more dynamic viewing experience. By launching "New Super Mario Bros. 2" and "Onitore" (temp.) on the same day as the Nintendo 3DS LL, Nintendo aims to achieve greater market penetration of the Nintendo 3DS family.
